The Philosophy of difference in Deleuze : Focused on the concept of intensive quantity
Kim Young-Jin

Abstract
This article examines Deleuze's philosophy of difference. Difference is the opposite of identity. Identification is the core foundation that Western philosophy has pursued for order and stability. Identification means order, and difference means disorder. However, the difference means a new order, and it actually refers to the interaction between order and disorder. However, the difference was regarded as disturbing the order, so it always settled on the periphery in philosophical reasons. Deleuze develops philosophical thoughts around the concept of difference, critically looking at the premises of ancient and modern Western philosophy, which is regarded as the philosophy of existing identity. In particular, Freud's reason, which can be said to be the pioneer of psychology, suggests that it is based on the reason for identity. The philosophy of difference presents the possibility of new thinking through the quantity of intensity while facing the problems of modern philosophy that have been pursued by extensive quantity. Deleuze expresses the characteristics of intensity through non-equivalence, positivity, and implication. These characteristics are predicates of appropriate characteristics that criticize the negativity of others and suggest alternatives. Thus, Deleuze and Guattari find a point of convergence in the process and express it as a concept of intensity, thereby showing new possibilities in our lives.
